1 - well done Eddie Howe for putting out a side whose only thought was to win a football match. They did do a couple of "professional fouls" on us but nothing to excess - not like some teams. Howe is a nice guy and he has got a decent set of footballers there. 2 - no substitutions by the opposition. Can't say I have ever seen that before. I was expecting Pitman and Rantie to come on and score a goal apiece but Howe was obviously happy with what he had. Refreshing attitude for a football manager. 3 - on FLS last night Manish suggested to Claridge that Barnsley looked down and Claridge disagreed quite strongly. He is right, of course. We're not down yet. We might LOOK down but there is no telling what the next few games will bring for all the clubs involved.
1. You are correct. Not a dirty side and tried to play football (which makes a nice change at Oakwell) 2. Never even noticed that. Very unusual. 3. That tw@t Claridge can say that on the FLS, but he hasn't witnessed how abysmal we actually are at the moment.
i can't recall agreeing with anything that's ever come out of claridge's mouth. this included. i think we'll go down as bottom team, and i also think we'll be down before the last game of the season
I was just pointing out that he had a positive view of us. Some reckon he never has a good word to say about us. He might be wrong but then so might we. I haven't given up on it yet but, then again, it's hard to see where the points are coming from. .
