    Not quite sure why - unless its they dont want to force someone who might have been knocked out to fight again only a couple of days later

    Dont do it in other fight sports like judo or wrestling though

    Just watching Aaron Cooke in the Taekwondo and they said the same thing?

    Don't see why they do it in boxing to be honest. Should be a fight for 3rd/4th place.

    A good kick to the head can knock you out

    I am sure its that they dont want someone with possible concussion to have to fight again - though I agree there should be a fight off and if you arent fit to fight thats just tough your opponent gets the medal

    A boxer having been knocked out is not allowed to fight for a set number of days. Think it maybe 30 days minimum.
