Try this puzzle. This maths sequence can predict your favorite film. Mine was Star Wars. Not sure how it works, but it does.

    Pick a number between 1-9.

    Multiply by 3.

    Add 3 to that number.

    Multiply again by 3.

    Add the two digits together.

    3. Oliver Twist.
    4. Star Wars.
    5. Forrest Gump.
    6. Saving Private Ryan.
    7. Jaws.
    8. Grease.
    9. The Joy of Anal Sex with Male Goats and Leather-clad, Oiled-up Lady Boys.
    10. Mary Poppins.

The number you get before adding the digits together is always multiple of 9.

You can move the 'add 3' step to before the first 'multiply by 3' step by changing it to 'add 1' instead. You'd still get the same number at the end. Therefore it's just the same as adding 1 to your number and then multiplying by 9.

    All digits in multiples of 9 sum to 9. 18, 27, 36, 45 etc.
So there's a lot of people who enjoy goats and Lady Boys

    If anyone cares....

Check my other thread for a puzzle to get your teeth into, you might like that.

    Here's another good one:

A fair coin is flipped 10 times. For each heads a white coin is put in the box, for each tails, a black coin is put in. You reach into the box (without seeing) and pull out a marble, check the colour, and then replace it. If you do this 10 times and draw 10 white marbles, what is the probablilty that all 10 marbles in the box are white?

Where do marbles come into it? You are putting coins in the box and pulling marbles out, that's magic.

Well done, you've spotted my intentional mistake...

Replace "black coin" and "white coin" with "black marble" and "white marble"
