Ticket allocation for home games should be something that a child could organise. There is going to be no multiple tickets for ST holders - you can bet your life on that one I think. What's the point anyway, the extra seats won't be next to yours, so those who want one will just have to queue for one. We did this 20 times in the prem season, based on priorities and I can't recall mass panic and uproar every other week. It should be: ST Holders have a week to claim their seat. Then priorities apply, like in Prem season, so: 1 tickets allowed if you have Beam Back Ticket, or a ticket from Southend Away, Norwich Away or Colchester at home, or if you are a Centenary Society member, lottery agent etc Then general sale. No priorities should take account of Liverpool tickets, as if you went to Anfield, you will either be a ST holder, or if not, but you are a real fan, you will very likely fit into one of the other priorities above, plus, even if you don't, the above priorities will ensure that there are plenty left for general sale - you'll just have to join the queue. easy.
How about season tickets first until close on 26th Then two home match tickets to include QPR, or is that game too late. Just thinking of getting more bums on seats for an equally important league game
Personally can't see why away stubs would come into it at all. Think the club ar in a bit of a bind with home tickets as well as most clubs tell you to hold on to ticket stubs whereas we don't. Could certainly understand the logic of giving priority to QPR and/or Sheff Wed ticket holders after ST holders as long as the arrangements are clear and are advertised well in advance.
I think that would work as they'll give a week for ST holders to claim their seats, so the QPR game will be here by then. The ticket priorities could then go on sale on the Wednesday morning. They'll be sold up by Friday or Saturday, a full week in advance.
Can't agree with that pal. You're saying season ticket holders, that spend hundreds of pounds should be allowed one per booklet and that being the same as you think those who spent a tenner to the beam back should be entitled to. There will be enough left even with two per season ticket holder. If it was away, it would have been one.
Problem with that is It's extremely unlikely that tickets will go on sale at all until next Monday. Imagine they'll give until the Friday for ST holders and then have a bun fight from Monday 3 March
But why on earth should having a ST give you the ability to get tickets for someone else? All I need is for my ST to guarantee that I'll get in. Everybody else will queue up if they want to come. With priorities given to those with match tickets, so the queue's are not unmanageable. What is wrong with that? And what is the point of allowing extra tickets with a ST anyway - they can't sit near you are the chances are high that you are surrounded by other ST holders and they have to be given the chance to bag their seat.
In my group of six from saturday, only two of us have season tickets. Two I will admit never go due to uni budgeting and being out of the region. The other two, one has paid on the day every home match (wanted to spend more on summer holiday, had car to pay bills for etc so didn't get season ticket) That person has been to about six away games as well. The other person as paid on the day every game, except for one missed because of something that can't be helped. This person has been to seven away games this season. Technically they have put more money or as much money into the club as me who's got a season ticket. Where do people like that fit in the big plan? I should be able to help them get a ticket.
Look at who you are arguing with take a deep breath and move on or you could find a nice wall to bang your head against Personally I cant find much wrong with your suggestion and on reflection think you are spot on with Anfield away tickets. Also dont forget we will be on the box live so some of the part time fans will be happy to save their dosh
Well they won't have any problem getting a ticket when the priorities reach the holders of match ticket stubs stage then will they? I can't see your problem, honestly. There's plenty to go round, and all that allowing ST holders to have multiple tickets is going to do is ensure that those that come next, the match ticket holders who didn't have a ST mate to queue for them, will be shoved into the West Stand as also rans, 'cos the best tickets in the East and Ponty have gone to part time wonders again.
Why should beam back ticket holders get priority over somebody who may have been to many other home games but couldn't get to that match or like me didnt want a 250mile round trip to watch it on a screen! There could have been just as many there for the first time as there were at Anfield. How many could make QPR or Wednesday their first game just to ensure they get a ticket! Season tickets should get their one ticket and then the rest on general sale!
No system is going to be perfect, but using match ticket stubs to form some kind of priority system ensures that a. There is the best possible chance that those who genuinely support the club get the best chance of good tickets b. The queue in managed, rather than having a snake down ponty road The beam back tickets should count as, to be honest, how many people who are not genuine fans of the club are going to pay a tenner to watch the match on a screen? Those that were there are highly likely to be genuine fans, and most will be ST holders anyway.
The only people who should get any priority are those fans who went to Plymouth ,and thats because I went........Season ticket holders should get their own seat, give them till 3 days before match to get it,rest of tickets go on general sale from day one
I can remember when you had to produce a number of ticket stubs say those with 10 stubs can have same priorities as ST holders maybe a bit fairer
