Quick question from a Scunny fan - How much did your tickets cost for last night's match at Glanford Park?

    RE: £17 and

Thanks for the response folks. Glanford Park needs refurbishing and altering with those "out-of-sight" posts. They affect us at the other end too and it's important to get a good standing spot for a better view. Bit of trivia - the stadium was the first purpose-built football arena in the modern era, but back in the 1980's it was a bit of a pioneering effort. Many clubs have followed on from our effort, but of course have improved on things. When you visit Walsall, you'll note some similarities. In fact, Bescot was a copy of Glanford Park, when it was erected. Of course, what most of you will not know is that Glanford Park is all Scunny's money. There was no body to help with costs, as there is today and has been for many years now.

I'm not knocking it...it's quite cosy

in a subbuteo kinda way. And what's with the lack of car parking? Don't they get crowds there? Drove up from London an' all.

Oh well - good luck. Best team won.

The Police and Council have stopped road parking around the ground. The car park is a hellhole and it's a pity you didn't know to park away from the ground and walk in. Next time (if there is one), come off the M181 with the ground on your right, straight on at the roundabout (Winterton/Burton road), turn right at first staggered crossroads, up to the roundabout and turn right (3rd exit), down that road and any turning left into a housing estate for parking. Walk back to that road and continue in the direction you were driving, Spar shop on right for munchies, paper etc, the Berkeley Hotel 50 yards further on your right for a pint, away fans okay in the bar. It's a 10 mins walk from there to the ground.

I'd read the powers that be were clamping down on parking...

in the estates. But we got there late, and you know what they say about beggars (they're poor).

I'm slightly more confident we'll see you again next season. We'll be around, anyhow. So it's up to youse!

I hope we're around too. The only way out I can see though is back down.
