Ticket pricing for 2013-14 season..

Season Tickets - increased by £50 in all areas of the ground.


Matchday Tickets - £20 Adults. £10 OAP's & Juveniles (11 to 18 year olds). Kids under 11 free with a paying adult.


'Local Derby' Tickets - £30 Adults (£5 off if bought prior to the day of the game). £15 OAP's & Juveniles. Kids under 11 free with a paying adult.


Bournemouth at Oakwell will be a 'Football for a Fiver' occasion for home and away supporters (except kids under 11 free with a paying adult).

Season Tickets: Yes we had a good second half of the season but it was another annual relegation battle so putting 50 quid on prices would be suicidal.

Matchday Tickets: My season ticket is 330 and you want it upto 380. 23x20= 460. That makes getting a season ticket not worthwhile just to save 80 quid which works out at 1 pound 53 pence a week over a year.

Local Derby Tickets: It shouldn't be 30 quid for any team in this league nevermind us. When we've charged that in the past the ground has been poorly attended.

Football For A Fiver: Never been a fan. Football is an hobby so if people want to watch football they should pay proper prices. It also makes us look arrogant like Wednesday with whichever club we pick for it as it makes out we see that side as small fry.

but then you can't hammer the board for not putting money in when the fans won't either.

Oh and dreamboy3000 it makes it £3.47 a game cheaper getting a season ticket than paying £20 a game.

 

There will be Leeds, Hudders, Wednesday, Doncaster. They fall into the £30 category. So that's £500, saving you £120. But I do understand your point and instead will reduce the increase to £25 on all season tickets.

I can't say fairer than that.


However, to qualify for any, I repeat ANY ticket, season or matchday, you must be over 7 foot tall without shoes on.

 

It could mek it £325 cheaper a season for some.

 

Seriously though, you would (with £50 increase) be making a decent saving by committing. Also, by committing, you are making funds available for the manager in the Summer. And don't forget, you can use Zebra to make staggered payments if that floats your canoe.

I take back the £25 increase. I'm sticking with the £50. I don't see why matchday payees should have to keep footing the bill year on year. I've always been a season ticket holder as an adult, until the season just finished, and in ticket terms I've paid double (easily) what I normally would as a ST holder. And I missed a handful of games. Summat not right about that. I remember the good old days of folk just turning up on spec because they fancied it.

If the club said "we can sign up Flicker/Mellon etc, but we have to increase ST's by £50" I bet you'd go for it.

I've never hammered the board in my life for not putting money in and I never will. I always thought Patrick Cryne put too much in and I'm much happier now that we've adopted a break even policy that doesn't require further financial input from a benefactor.

But a 15% rise for a season ticket in the Ponty End when most working folk have had a pay freeze for the last 4 years is ridiculous.

Put season ticket prices up a tenner to generate extra revenue by all means, but not fifty quid.

 

It's now gone up to £60.

Sir Pat says you can all come for nowt and we're giving Flicker a £100 m war-chest...Can't see this being good enough for a few...I say pay us for attending, Rowing, even if it's nowt to do with you....

 

It remains to be seen how much of what Lord Flicker has generated in funds during the first four months of the year through a cup run and player sales will be given back to him.

And am repeating what ive previously said on here.
We broke even once we beat Burnley in the cup. We have sold a major player since and generated more in the cup run.

We haven't been relegated and suffered huge losses what was being banded about. I EXPECT money to be made available.

 

I'll be able to tell you exactly whether the club broke even... the downside is that it will be when the club accounts for the year ended 31st May 2013 are filed at Companies House which could be as late as Feb 2014.

Any other comments are at best educated guesses and at worst wild speculation ( though they are entertaining and gives everyone something to talk about in the close season)

 

You're right but you've got to factor in the extra expenditure that Flitcroft has insisted on - the hotels, the coaches, St George's park, the signings of Delap, O'Grady, Scotland, Tunnicliffe etc. I doubt it's as simple as 'we made 3 million because we sold Stones'.

 

If we can't negotiate a decent deal on hotels and leisure facilities it's time to pack in.

The loannees shouldn't have made too much of a dint in the accounts imho.

Rowing sets himself up for this sort of stuff with the 'break even' comment and the £6 mill loss if relegated stuff.

 

I reckon we paid O'Grady's wages in full, next to nowt for Delap and Tunnicliffe and paid Scotland less than what Davies was on. Remember - it was only Mark Robins who paid hundreds of thousands in loan player wages.

 

I'd increase Adult & OAP STs by £15 and Student tickets by £10. I'd also reduce U18 from £135/£150/£160 to £100 for any stand. They're the future so I think it needs to be affordable for youngsters if they're having to buy their own ST. I think Bolton only charge £80.

Local Derby - £30
Any other - £25

Don't bother with the category system because no one knows what games are which. Everyone knows what the derbys are.
