Not that it involves me but. Is there any reason why when tickets go on general sale, they couldn't have made an agreement with Ticket Master or something? I'm sure it's just a commission thing and probably wouldn't cost the club a penny. Ticket Master would then deal with all the calls and posting of tickets and they're responsible for delivery etc. No come back on BFC They were selling tickets for Arsenal v Wigan as the last ever game at Highbury. So I'm sure there's nothing against the rules to sell footy tickets.
Ticket master were dealing with internet/telephone bookings for Watford for this weekend. Even for season tickets, had to enter patron code and other details.
It makes sense. It's clear that Barnsley can't cope with the demand for tickets - even if we only take 20,000, that's a lot of work for half-a-dozen box office staff and a handful of (presumably) temps in the East Stand. In addition to that, we'd actually be able to book by phone, hence precluding hour after hour of queueing in the sun. And exiled fans would be able to get their seats with minimal fuss. On the pitch, our club are a credit to themselves. Off it, we're a shambles. Lessons from the first leg of the semi haven't been learned, I fear. I'm not a season-ticket holder, but I do live locally. If any exiled fans want me to at least try to get them a seat when general sale comes around, drop me a message. I'll do my best.
Preston did the same, even for ST holders. There is no cost to the club, but a handling fee and postage for special delivery are added. Nothing will stop me from getting a ticket, but the club need some serious work on customer services / relations. After the semi-final debacle, you would have thought that lessons had been learn't.
