Whats everyone think of the ticketing arrangements for cardiff? i personally think that its a little expensive for the best seats but its obviously gonna be worth it when the super reds are back where they belong come the final whistle...also i belive the club have made the right ammendments to how we buy our tickets...well done bfc
In your shoes, I'd ne a bit miffed But then again you'll need to do exactly the same as I would ... take a day off work and queue up. I appreciate that you will have to travel a lit further than I will but we'll both have to stand in line and wait our turn, which lets face it, will probably take the best part of a day. Why should fans who aren't geographically local to Oakwell benefit from ticketing arrangements that wouldn't be available to those who are nearby? I'm afraid, that as much as I can sympathise with the distance you will travel, it's has to be one rule for all. If they allowed telephone sales for all it would mean extra staff would be needed and you'd probably spend more time trying to get through than you would standing in line.
I'd quite happily purchase by letter, as we did for Wembley! Why I have to take a day off work (and keep it hidden from TPTB) in order to present vouchers out of our ST books when I could post them is utterly beyond belief! Or, print off an online booking form and post that!
Let me get this straight... You expect me to buy a plane ticket, spend 2 days travelling over and back due to bad flight connections, then queue to buy a ticket. And then you want me to buy another plane ticket, travel again for 2 days, just to see the match. This is a shambles. Even if they gave the option of after the 4 day sales period, telephone / online applications can be made and tickets sent to people outside the country FFS.
