No, it's not right. We've asked for 25,000 tickets. If we don't sell all those there's no need to open the upper tier. But if we do sell them all, we'll ask for some more tickets and that will be the upper tier.
Exactly what I've just written. https://barnsleyfccommunity.co.uk/assets/uploads/2016/02/Wembley-Tickets-FAQs-1.pdf "We asked for an initial printed allocation of 25,000 tickets based on previous requirements for our visits to Wembley Stadium. We are not limited to 25,000 tickets and can apply for up to 40,000 tickets if they are required. We felt that it was not necessary to request the full allocation of tickets in the first print batch given the ease and flexibility to order more tickets as and when they are required. Wembley Stadium can turn around 10,000 tickets in a day so we won’t be waiting for tickets should we need more."
Why would you want to sit in the gods watching subbuteo when the original allocation is better seating?
Because you want seats together perchance? The seats in the goods look to be a great view anyhow. I'm happy with block 123, row 39 though.
Because there's no seats together left other than the first few rows. Anyway, I've sat on the upper tier and it's a good view.
I was in the gods for the Cardiff game, it wasnt particularly brilliant. Any England games I go to I make sure I'm in one of the bottom 2 tiers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Having time to kill at work, I just counted all the "green dots" on the lower &middle tiers. Only 545 seats left, so I d anticipate plenty more blocks released soon.
I just bought tickets in Section 501, which I believe is the top tier. It was the first place I found 2 seats together.
Anyone who wants to be near the front of the upper tier is now sat twiddling their thumbs waiting for another block to be opened. Neither Ticketmaster nor BFC seem to care if fans get the seats they want. There seems to be a view that a seat's a seat.
Or ... They are doing exactly what is done for all such big events, filling blocks before releasing the next ones, making it easier to police, and making sure there are no obscene gaps on the lower tiers etc. They are also doing what Wembley and the football league instruct them to do.
Their view that 'a seat's a seat' has been coming across loud and clear throughout the process. When 'pick a seat' wasn't functioning, when the best blocks were held back at the start, when people grumbled about ticket priority etc.
They're now selling tickets for block 552 and 501 in the top tier and are selling fast. https://www.eticketing.co.uk/barnsleyfc/details/event.aspx?itemref=2213

I've watched us, 4/5 England games and a NFL game at the new Wembley and sat all over on all three tiers, I've waited for the top tier - excellent view from the bottom half of any top tier section. I didn't want any on the bottom tier and I'm not paying those tickets prices to watch a league 1 team against a league 2 team in the JPT final. Best value for money seats at the front of the top tiers imo.
