Please help yourself and others queuing behind you by taking along the right amount of “CASH ONLY” get your tickets. Everybody that's using plastic is bound to slow things down.
Most places I know, card transactions take about the same amount of time it takes to count the cash out.................. But forgot, they don't use 'chip and pin', do they?
Yes that's right At £25 per ticket, if going to pick up 6 tickets then why not walk around with £150 in your pocket.....the staff will trust you and not need to count this so saving a lot of time. Doesn't take that long to process a card payment.
Agreed. We should also start swapping shiny stuff and bartering with pebbles. I have a turnip that looks like a breast, that's got to be worth at least a Chelsea ticket.
It slows things down because..... ...... they seem to want to insist on processing separate CC transactions for each area of the ground!! Mate collected some tickets this week for various ST holders. Some were in the East Stand, some in the Ponty and some West Stand. Three individual transactions for each batch of tickets. Go figure.....
Got Six Tickets Saturday Two in east stand lower, two in east stand upper and two in the ponty (not sat together). No problem at getting it all done as one.
RE: Got Six Tickets Saturday Now i know there's so thick tw@t's on here but why do you thing places like supermarkets have “CASH” only till, especially at really busy times like Christmas. I'll look for the one that say's pebbles only at this till next time.
RE: Got Six Tickets Saturday Do they? I think you'll find most actually don't. They have a 10 items or less till/tills but all major supermarkets would actually prefer that you use cards as they can see what your particular spending pattern is and then tailor their marketing directly to you. The cost to the retail business of processing cash via securicor etc is much greater than the costs of accepting debit and even credit cards. Now then, must toddle off to count me sheckles.
RE: exiled Sorry mate, must have made it up and all by myself as I've never seen any cash only tills at major supermarkets. Must be one of them mirage things they have in Morrison’s , Asda and Tesco’s. Can’t imagine why supermarkets would want things to flow during busy times. While you are off counting your sheckles, ask how Gazza’s going on!!!!!.
ALL supermarkets have cash only tills, trust me on this cos i work in one..... plus why dunt we introduce a self service system for tickets....
RE: exiled I know you think you are correct, but trust me you are wrong. I have worked for 2 of those companies you mention and I am a supermarket manager. Next time you are in those stores, just have another look, you'll actually see that those "quick" tills are 10 items or less, not cash only. Like I said, supermarkets don't like cash, if it were feasable (and one day it will be) they'd do away with it, same as Sainburys and at the end of the month Tescos have done with cheques. Cards are quicker, especially now with chip n pin, ever stood behind someone digging thru their purse for the shrapnel theyre desperate to fob off.
