Now then, I had a fun day chasing our box office, and here are the results: This morning... Coventry is all ticket, none on sale on the day. Early afternoon...You may be able to pay on gate but it's highly advisable to buy beforehand just incase. Late afternoon...it's all ticket but you can pay on gate. All those answers were from BFC, where as this morning CCFC told me, "no problem, you can pay on the gate" (seestars) (banghead)
Because altogether I'd had about 10 different answers from numerous sources And if it was all ticket I needed to know.
RE: Because altogether I'd had about 10 different answers from numerous sources Would be interesting trying to get in the Coventry end in Barnsley shirt, red and white hat, Barnsley scarf and Hungarian flag. What would our chances be? (chinny)
RE: So you just kept ringing them and asking the same question? nt Can't blame him really based on that... He was using a 'best of 3' system, expecting 'yes' or 'no', but unfortunately they managed to make up a third option.
No I rang them, then rang CCFC. Considering BFC came up with numerous answers shows what a joke our club can show themselves up to be. I'm not travelling all that way to find out I need a ticket. And considering Wednesday is the latest they'll send tickets out I needed an answer.
RE: Because altogether I'd had about 10 different answers from numerous sources Well, it's now apparently pay on gate, nice of BFC to make it nice and clear though!
Ah, but he had 10 different answers 1 Yes, all ticket 2 No, pay on the gate 3 don't know 4 er, sardines 5 fadge 6 gin rummy 7 lard 8 cows 9 bottom burp 10 carrots And from numerous sources too! The club, Coventry, a fishwife, Dave the van driver, Sgt Cockwart Best bet was to ring the club numerous times and ask them the same question I reckon.
I may have missed summat here, but why do you need to know if its all ticket or not? Just buy the ticket now, job done? Or is it the excitement of turnin up and wondrin whether you're getting in that does it for you? I go to more away than home games due to location and have always had excellent service from the box office. I always order tickets over the phone, all ticket or not, tickets have always arrived next day, Cov ones came this morning, ordered at 2.00pm yesterday. Hurrah for the box office
Because I'm in Glasgow and the deadline for sending tickets out via post was yesterday morning. That's why I needed to know.
just... pay in the Home end.... jump up when the away team score... trade a few blows with home fans.... casually walk past the coppers walk into the away end.... works a treat at Oakwell.....
I think I say this before every away match ..... .... but here goes again. They always say that the game is 'all ticket' for Barnsley fans, in advance, no pay on the day, because BFC get summat from the home team for selling their tickets, and the Police have a rough idea how many are travelling. Then a couple of days before the game they change their story. I would say 99% of away games so far have been 'pay on the day' even though 99% of away games have started off 'ticket only in advance'. Basically, it's **** because both clubs are playing games with the fans and that doesn't help, particularly when you don't live in Barnsley and they don't announce anything until after the last day for posting them out. It's time it was sorted! By the way, Ipswich away is all ticket for Barnsley fans, no pay on the day ...... until 2 days before the game ..... and Southend .... and WBA!!!!!!!
