Been following Formula 1 for about 20 odd years but never actually been to a race - basically because I would expect only seeing one section of track isn't that exciting...has anyone been who can tell me if it is any good or not? Now I realise it's quite expensive, the prices I've seen for Silverstone are over the top to say the least. If I don't get put off the idea I'm looking to go to the Belgian Grand Prix at Spa - does anyone know the best way to get tickets? Would probably just want the Sunday race ticket only, the new qualifying format is a joke.
I went for the first time in 2006 - see http://www.barnsleyfc.org.uk/bbs/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=39269 Can't help with tickets as I got mine free at the last minute when someone dropped out. But as I said then I'd definitely recommend going once for the experience and I enjoy watching it on TV more now I've got a feel for what it's like in real life.
Cheers for that mate Better get planning it now, was going to incorporate it into a stag weekend for my mate but don't think that will work somehow!
be expensive but Monaco must be the best not been for the race but it's really interesting to walk round the circuit-you don't get from TV how hilly and bumpy and NARROW it is !
