This morning I went in the vain hope of aquiring two tickets. I queued like everyone else. Some lady was wanting to stab rowling with her brolly. The men in charge didnt show. it was left to a counter staffee to take th flak -to be fair when i was there it wasnt that bad just alot of anger and resentment. The people with the vouchers were the angriest as they were told that they would be guarenteed their quota if they turned up. I had a Bacon Sarnie and a coffee after putting my name on the if im lucky list. At this point i saw a kid about 17 years old close to tears cluthching his away stubs becuase he coudlnt go yet his man utd fancying piss taking mates ARE going. Makes you feel proud doesnt Mr marketing Manager. Well no not really. I could cope with not going becuase i could still have a day out. but to see that kid broke my heart. Makes me ashamed to be assosiated with the farce that is BFC
Oh but everyone who went with a season ticket got one for themselves and another season ticket holder. Oh aye.
so what did he take them for it wasn't part of the criteria like I said. Sorry, penny dropped. Its to prove "I'm a better fan than you". it makes no difference, it wasn't required.
i went with 2 season tickets mine and the wifes and got just the 2 tickets we are not all greedy barstewards
The point is he travels religiously. He gets pillocked by his mates for doing so. His said tormentors are going Anfield. He's going to be sat at home listening to the wireless.
I know exactly what you are trying to say. my point is, all he was trying ot achieve was "I'm a better fan than you" at 17, the worlds his oyster, take my mother, who used to travel the length and breadth of the country before most current fans were even an itch in their dads trousers. She won't be going, because she will be looking after my son, whilst my partner is at work, and I go. People grow up, people have families, have constraints with work etc etc. Doesn't make them any less of a fan. Completely understand the point of "glory hunters", but not everyone can be labelled a glory hunter when there are damned good reasons that they can't go to every home and away game.
touting has effectively been encouraged by the club im afraid although most likely unintentional it is still the end result, which is disgusting in my opinion
Nearly as disgusting as listening to a woman shout at her boss for hiding becuase she had to face the wrath of joe public rather than himself.
did that actually happen? One of the members of staff was shouting at someone higher up in front of you?
share the juicy details then. Was it obvious who she was talking to? And what did she have to say to this person?
