Did they ever play together at Barnsley? My mate thinks they did but I'm not so sure that they did. I'm not very good on dates of comings and goings.

    Yes they did

Taggart signed in January 1990 , Tiler left during the 1991 close season .

Certainly did - they were 2 of the seven or eight defenders Machin played at Middlesboro when we needed a point to stay up

Thank you! It would appear that my mate was part right at least, although his dates were well out, which is what made me unsure about it all.

Two of the most overated players ever ?

Had their best times at Barnsley and then were pretty ***** elsewhere ?

I liked Tiler and was sorry to see him go but Taggart for me was another one legged wonder and I always thought that the best day's work Danny Wilson did was to get rid of him. He was a disruptive influence on the younger players. Saw him threatening the kids at a Player of the Year dinner and the only one who stood up to him was Adie Moses. He was another one that I was sorry to see go.

    What a game!

I remember Saville was up front on his own. I think O'Connel was our entire midfield and the rest were defenders. Futcher, Smith, Tiler and Taggart all played.

I never understood why Harry let Moses go.

    He was KWOLITAY.

Can't argue against the fact that he had something that we don't have in our defence now (Austin apart) but I just didn't like him and thought then, as I still do, that we were better off without him.
