When I was an impressionable teen I thought he was awesome, used to listen to his Hip Hop show on possibly Capital FM in the late 80s / early 90s when I stopped at my Nans in Reading. Then I saw him on TV and was surprised to see that he was white as he didn't sound like it. </p> Fast forward 20 years and Tim Westwood has become a manifestation that is just completely unnatural, I watched him on Derren Brown last week, and I just thought to myself - why? why? why? are you trying so hard to pretend to be something that you are not...... He's from somewhere like Cambridgeshire and from a wealthy middle to upper class background, he was brought up in the countryside, yet he talks like he's from the 'hood'. What's it all about, I really don't get it. </p> I absolutely cringed at the voice and image of this late 40 something on Derren Brown, and can't help but wonder if he talks like that when he's at home with Mum and Dad and nobody else is around. Anyway I found him on Twitter so decided to tell him what I thought, but once again was reduced to cringeing embarrassment when I read his current status - he, a 'showbiz' man thinks Derren is actually called Darren - I kid you not. Even my 12 year old know's he's a Derren.
