Looked easy for Khan!!! Another couple of challenge fights for Amir then a fight fight for a world title belt!
How come at the end... Khan said that he had added to a successful day for England what with the rugby and Hamilton's pole? He was feytin a bloke from Stoke.
RE: How come at the end... lol I dont know that was a bit daft!!! But still glad he won! He's our up coming boxer.
Up and comin'? How long did the "fight" last? 30secs into the 4th round? Hardly a test!! Audley Harrison was slated for picking easy fights, and Kahn seems to be going down the same road. Put Khan up against someone that will push him to a points victory, and lets see his true potential. Can Khan last the bout? Clinton Woods it many times better in boxing terms. He's seen it, wore the tee-shirt, and done it. And like LiverpoolRed says, "glad I did'nt pay to watch it" If I'd have shelled out £50+ for a seat, I'd be coming away feeling cheated.
The lad has had 14 fights he is only 20 years old, there is plenty of time for him to move up and he improves with every fight.
RE: Up and comin'? Yes up and comimg??? I agree was easy for him. He will have a few more fights before fight s for a world belt...prob next spring or summer!! It was on ITV matey u dont pay to watch that.
RE: Up and comin'? I meant to pay to go and watch it. Fair enought there's other fights on the card to watch, but when it's billed as a main fight, only for it to be over before your seat's been warmed by your arse, do you really get value for money?
RE: Exactly mark thas reyt theer nt 14 fights since he became Olympic Champ in 2004?
Won in the 1st round beating David Bailey. Beat Baz Carey on points after a full four rounds at the International Arena, Cardiff. Defeated Steve Gethin by TKO in the third round at Braehead Arena, Glasgow. Beat Daniel Thorpe in the second round by TKO at the ExCeL Exhibition Centre, London. Beat Vitali Martynov of Belarus in the first round by TKO at the Nottingham Arena, Nottingham. Beat "Action" Jackson Williams of Norwich in the third round by TKO at the ExCel Exhibition Centre, London. Beat Laszlo Komjathi of Hungary on points at the King's Hall, Belfast. Beat Colin Bain of Scotland in the second round by TKO at the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff. Beat Ryan Barrett in the first round by TKO, after just 1 minute and 52 seconds. Beat Rachid Drilzane of France by unanimous points decision (99-91 in ten rounds) for the IBF inter-continental light welterweight title. Beat Mohammed Medjadi of France at Wembley Arena, London by TKO in the first round in 43 seconds. Beat Steffy Bull at the Millennium Stadium in the third round by TKO after 1 minute and 43 seconds. Beat Willie Limond in the 8th round for the Commonwealth Lightweight Title at the O2 Arena. Beat Scott Lawton at the Nottingham Arena, in the 4th round for the Commonwealth Lightweight Title.
It's either the lack of Lightweight boxers, or Frank Warren is picking his fights to make it easy for him.
Either way, Come on Amir and Frank. Get a proper fight on!!!

RE: Exactly mark thas reyt theer nt Yeh ur right picking easy fights to get his profile raised before going to fight world belts. Its same with all boxers mate.
RE: Up and comin'? Yeh exactly I wouldnt pay that much for that billing!!! But you have a good piss up and stuff!
Another boring fight set up by Frank Warren - I'm quite happy to see any fighter controlled by him get knocked out. 99% of the time Warren will only put his fighters in with people he knows they can beat (no different this fight either). Boring, predictable, one sided contests. Warren only wants the easy pay days and his fighters are all protected from actually having to take any risks against the big boys. Warren has been avoiding putting Khan and Calzaghe into anything interesting for ages.
RE: Was on ITV tonight matey1 nt I know mate - sorry meant pay to go and watch it. What was it three and a half rounds?!
To be fair though, you can't just chuck a boxer in at a high level too soon. Khan still looks as if he has got a lot of learning to do, at times he does get caught and survives mainly because these guys haven't got the power to really trouble him, unfortunately he has got to much power for them. However, if he fought at world level for his next fight he could well lose. He is a very powerful lad but at the moment I think he needs to show a lot of improvement before he gets anywhere near a world title.
