Cant put home fans if he given Bolton fans full length of stand and at top of stand so away from pitch

Might be wrong but I thought it had been explained why it can’t happen .
If Bolton fans have been issued with allocated seating across the back of the stands like Peterborough fans were the stand can’t then be split vertically.
Apologies if I’ve got this wrong but that was my understanding.

They can move the away fans easily

The way the club are pushing sales suggests the north stand will be open. This will have been long thought of when discussions were made whether to spread away fans horizontal or vertical. I cannot see a scenario where we would jeopardise getting more home fans in the ground.

I personally can't see a compelling reason to open it. I don't see anything to suggest we would shift another 1000+ tickets, just by opening it. Possibly more likely to just create a logistical nightmare, with more people wanting to swap seats from other parts of the ground, than additional tickets being sold. That's just my opinion though.

Don't forget we only receive 25% of the gate money. FA receive 50% then other 50% split between us & Bolton.

Don't think gate money is the reason.
We need a cauldron of noise to carry us over the line.

Think it's been suggested that Peterborough had unreserved seating across the back of the stand, while Bolton's tickets have been allocated top to bottom as usual.

I think the North Stand would be open now if sales had gone better last week. How much extra demand is there, given it's taken us this long to sell the tickets we have.

I don't think it will be a tight game this Friday. Both teams will go out to win the game. Looking forward to it. Now Wednesday and Derby haven't gone up. It definitely takes the edge off nerves wise for me. I'm just looking forward to a decent game of football and may the best team on the night win.

It's taken this long because good tickets are long gone.

Not quite. EFL take 50% of all the 4 play off semis. The other four clubs split the remaining 50% of the 4 games between them.

Down to 39 tickets. And I think a lot will be put off by there not being 2 seats together.

I genuinely think if we opened the North home fans, we'd shift at least another 500 tickets.

They're not long gone though are they. There were still plenty left at the start of yesterday. There was about half the tickets left after the first week of sales.

Said it in a earlier post for fans to get their tickets because the ticket allocation for all teams was going to be the same of similar.Unfortunately those who were waiting to see the away result first might miss out. 2000 fans in a 5500 stand will reduce the atmosphere with less administration and security costs.

As I mentioned in another thread, Khaled said in an interview: '“It’s a combination of what we think is good for both clubs and also to provide a chance for as many Barnsley fans as possible to watch the game next Friday.” https://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/spo...ad-bolton-wanderers-play-off-ticket-decision/

That last bit suggests opening up the north for home fans - 'as many Barnsley fans as possible to watch the game'. Otherwise why dictate that Bolton only get 2k tickets? It makes no odds whether they get 2k or 4.5k, unless we do as he says and give them less to give as many Barnsley fans AS POSSIBLE the chance to watch the game. Cost doesn't come into it when he comes out with a statement like that, you would hope as a business he'd already factored that in in order to make the statement.

I don't know how many more we'd shift with the North stand open but we'll look extremely tinpot and vindictive if we've given Bolton half a stand and not put our own fans in there too. Just get it open and chuck some freebies to schools etc
