improve. They ballsed that up last night, not the manager. That would have been a good point to take back home.
Re: Time for the players to come out and apologise over last nights result, and vow t He did take Davies off and put Collins on for the point when it could just as well been us that pinched it with Davies sounding as though he was shooting on sight everytime he got the ball.
Absolute rubbish - were you actually there? Players have nothing to apologise for - maybe the tactics were not correct at the end but they put in a good performance
Re: Absolute rubbish - were you actually there? Thats what was required for me last night a performance and was just about to congratulate us on our first clean sheet on the road since August when the maybe not so unthinkable happened.
Re: Time for the players to come out and apologise over last nights result, and vow t Nah not for me, no apology required. They performed well last night, not brilliantly but certainly not badly either. Contrary to what that Wath fella thinks, those players DO care and DO make an effort, and they looked as sick as the fans last night when the ball hit the back of the net.
Re: Time for the players to come out and apologise over last nights result, and vow t Warning numpty alert.
Re: Absolute rubbish - were you actually there? Agree with Farnham Red - most of the players did very well last night, and there were elements of our play which were very much like pre-January, with good accurate passing in the build-up. It did break down often in the final third, but we were definitely worthy of at least a point. I get tired of some who bleat on about "lower league signings." Last night Davies, Done, McNulty for example were as least as good as any of the opposition players. Hill and Flicker have been let down by the disappearance of an entire midfield - Vaz, Butts, Perks, Drinks, Jim O'B. And the replacements of Tongue, Cotterill, Smith etc haven't so far been up to it, not by a long way. I put a £25 bet on at 4/1 in July for a top half finish, and I reckon I'd be collecting if it hadn't been for the loss of the midfield five I mentioned. If we'd really gone for it last night, we'd probably have come away with all three points, because Palace were little threat. And I was surprised to see Davies brought off, as he was shooting from distance on several occasions and looked the most likely to score. But all in all, a good performance worthy of at least one point, and let's hope KH and Flicker can raise the spirits of the players for Peterborough on Saturday. They looked really gutted at the end with nothing to show for their efforts and good play.
Re: Time for the players to come out and apologise over last nights result, and vow t I dont know if you went, I didnt, but from reading the posts of those who did go I dont think the players have anything to apologise for. It sounded like a reasonable performance which nearly gave us a good away point.
Re: Absolute rubbish - were you actually there? No I didn't go. So I am talking out of my Harris there, I was listening to it on the radio. Just a comment borne out of frustration that we lost at the death and that the manager would probably get the blame again. All that hard work for nowt.
