    He always came across as someone who seemed to know what he was on about. I suppose putting his thoughts/ideas ionto practice was much harder than he envisaged? (shrugs shoulders and pleads insanity)

    Thought Bassett did a good job

    in his first season. The football was entertaining - if they scored 3 we usually scored 4. Higgy was a big loss though. Still got a lot to thank Bassett for getting us to Wembley

    I thought Bassett did a good job too, even in his second season

    he'd lost the whole of the right side of the team from the previous year, Higgy, Curtis and Eaden and was always going to be up against it. I thought Dennis's expectations of a top 6 finish in those circumstances was asking far too much. Start of the decline in my opinion. Though we'd have still been up the creek with the ITV digital debacle.

    i did, i wanted him in at the time we appointed bassett. he talks a good game, but should never judge a book by its cover
