I know weve gots the 'ins' and 'outs' but new season and all that, is it not time to give him a chance. Dont get me wrong, i was looking forward to him being relieved of managerial duties at the end of last season..he hasnt been, PC has backed him so can we not give him a chance.

I know the first 45mins were awful on Saturday, i was sat at half-time thinking we could be relegated by Xmas, but credit where credit is due, he had a few words at half-time and they came out a different side. From all we hear from the players, they all believe in him, can we now give the 'useless Barsteward' / 'fat welsh ****' a rest for a while, give him some support and hope the team respond.

He's beginnign to change his ways..... talking to media, keeping us informed, even came on pitch at full-time at Hillsboro....is it not time we gave him a chance

    YOU REDS!!!!!!!!!!!

PS n if it dont get any better....theres always the blonde lass wi green top n white trousers to look at :D

    Agreed

    Let's get behind him.

On a more serious note please can we put a permanent stop to the personal abuse against manager/players/ club staff etc.

I'm not a Davey hater by any stretch of the imagination BUT he has had a chance, he's had 2 and half seasons. Those that want him out have good reason to think that and it's only Davey that can prove them wrong.

I've wanted Davey out since day 1 and i'm sorry but 45 minutes of half decent fare following on from 45 minutes of sheer garbage ain't going to make me change my mind.

RE: He's had the best part of 3 years.

I agree that there are some more promising signs at present to suggest we might finally progress, but ultimately if we are in the bottom 6 after 10 games then I want him gone.

Well Simon Davey as proven hes taking a different approach to his handling of the press and he slated the players for there 1st half performance.. something I havent heard him do. hes starting to lay foundations to build a better rapport with fans. Give him 15 games see if he as what it takes... I have slated Davey and would love for him to proove me wrong

    The problem is

throughout the season we will have good and bad patches the main problem is as soon as we lose a couple folks will be on his back again even if we are mid-table, playoff, top of the league

Agreed. I was very vocal with my anti Davey opinions but they've now been put aside and i'm willing to give him another chance.

    RE: The problem is

The problem is there will be more bad than good - I really don't think people would be complaining if we were top of the table

As this is the Davey" Love in" thread...

I agree though - I didnt want to start this season with him in charge but PC still has faith in him so I hope to be proved wrong.

I also agree with the comments about stopping personal abuse. I dont think there is ever a place for that on here. By all means criticise team selections tactics etc but there is no reason to resort to abuse of manager (or players for that matter)
