They're only on rolling one year deals aren't they?

Back them and give them security.

I'd take the risk... doing a fabulous job and can't see why they'd stop doing.

    Why?

They've got security. Their contract never runs out. In 4 years time a 4 year contract will have run out. A one year rolling contract will still have a year left on it. It'll still have a year left on it in 10 years if they're still here. It's as close as you can get to a permanent position in football management.

Within the contract there will be a buy out clause and a pay-off clause, but the same would be true of a 4 year contract. We could pay them more money, increase the cost of the clauses, but there's nothing wrong with the type of contract they've got.

    Well...

First of all I won't be saying that if we lose at Watford, or even if we lose the next three... I'm convinced they're the real deal.

And Jay, mainly because if anyone tried to pinch them say within the next year, they'd have to pay much larger compensation which might put them off.

    Re: Well...

That's the benefit of a longer contract, costs more to poach them but it has a flip side however I too think they're the best management team we've had in many years and i'd like to see them tied to us on long contracts.
