It's been Warnock all the way for me.

I think Mellon has done well, but we need EXPERIENCE.

As Pasta says experience all the way so Warnock or Wilson - it is pointless continually repeating the "give it to the assistant" stance.

Just said the same. I don't think we could really expect much from today. The damage to our season was done before Mellon took charge.

Ryhill, it is not personal to Mellon - I'm sure he is a nice fellow but he is part of the setup that got us in this mess to begin with. As Flitcorft was part of Hill's mess etc etc

But flitcroft performed a miracle last season in spite of being part of the previous set up ?

Check my posts.....I've been constantly promoting the experienced manager in someone like Warnock or Wilson.

Mellon's two games in charge have zero to do with my opinion, and incidentally, I think he's done a sterling job.

Plus, anyone who picks Tom Kennedy really does need to have a good look at themselves and question their ability to understand the role of a left back.

Yep even Flicker himself said he would never see that again, during his career.

Honeymoon period as it is whenever a manager is sacked - we need somebody with guile, passion, fire in their veins etc to motivate the players. Flitcroft still ended up relying on other results to see us over the line. If this isn't sorted properly (by which I mean an experienced Championship manager) then that line will be out of sight.

Couldn't agree more - if we appoint Mellon, regardless of how he does in the games he is given, then it will prove to me that the vision of the new board is something that we only hypothesized about, and in reality, doesn't exist. We are looking screwed this season and the only appointment that we need is to make an appointment for a long term vision. For me, and I've said it from the outset, that man is Danny Wilson!

Get Wilson in on a 2 and a half year deal. Break all ties with the whole Hill/Flitcroft era. Doubtless both Mellon and Flitcroft are nice guys, but we need an experienced football manager, who isn't living in fear of being given the chop after a few bad results.

I see no reason why we couldn't keep Mellon on as assistant and bring someone in above him as manager.
