Poor recruitment or not he's getting no where near the best out of these players. And can he take Humphrys shocking. Tough to find positives at the minute
Half team talk should have been one sentence. Keep doing what you've been doing. Instead not for the first time when leading at home at half time, we sit back and invite pressure when our opposition are attacking their own end.
How did Humph stay on the field he was poor ,runs in to blind alleys ,3 stepovers loses the ball his goal score ratio per game is poor. Ask Clarke he is making the decisions, in my eyes decent coach would get a tune out of this squad.
He's out of his depth, it's pretty obvious and a bizarre appointment. His coaching is not improving any of the players, l said last week he's not a patch on Duff regardless of the squad. Duff would get more out of this lot.
Humphrys did eventually get took off for dyer should have been 20 minutes earlier. At least dyer would have wanted to play.
Shocking today. We had no sustained pressure throughout. Maybe a decent ish start but after our goal, it was 1 way traffic.
I'd get more out of this lot. Some of them look like they don't want to be there. Effort costs nothing and takes zero skill or ability that's the most frustrating thing.
Don’t get this clamour for Connor either, what does he actually bring to the table for us?? Apart from being decent years ago for us, absolutely zero.
I’m never normally one to call for a manager to go but I lost my head a bit at the game & said they should get rid if he can’t see that a sub was needed. I must’ve shouted for him to make a sub 5 times over a 10 minute period before they equalised. I couldn’t believe that he couldn’t see one was needed. They were well on top straight from the start of the second half. I wasn’t the only one either. It felt like most of the stadium felt the same. I’ve not been that annoyed with a manager for not making a sub since Morais refused to take McBurnie off when he was out on his feet against Norwich years ago.
He's got to go. A lot will get said about the recruitment etc. And we all know there are areas to this squad that need work/are lacking but let's all be realistic here, we are Barnsley FC, when have we ever had a perfect squad that has top players in each position? I certainly don't ever remember a time that happened. We always have to rely on the coaching staff to get the absolute best out of what we have, DC clearly is not capable of that. He has enough in the squad to be doing better than we are. We are far below squads worse than ours and don't look like improving.
I still don't think he should be sacked. His remit was promotion, which whilst looking a long way away, is not impossible. He should be reviewed at the end of the season. I've got no faith in those making the decisions in the Boardroom though
I honestly think that would be an incentive for me not to renew. Not that I have any objection to Conor getting the job but it smacks of the stunt those in charge pulled last year to try and boost season ticket sales and they don't deserve the same response. For what it's worth I renewed before it was announced that Conor was coming back to Oakwell.
