So everyone can give ideas on how to stop it happening in the future and the club will be made aware of what the majority of fans expect. So say we had 6k tickets for another big away match in the future, how would you want tickets to be distributed? I would say one per season ticket booklet for home ties and for away cup ties make it season ticket holders with X amount of stubs or something of that nature.
Footy Miles A bit like air miles. You get so many "miles" per game attended (more for away games). You have to book through the box office otherwise you get no miles credited. When a big game comes, tickets are allocated on the basis of who has the most miles. ST ticket holders get so many miles credited, but otherwise no bias in favour of ST holders, it simply rewards regular fans. Non fans have no chance until tickets go on general sale then they have to queue up for the dregs.
There is no need for any of this 'away ticket stub' ballax... 1 ticket per season ticket would have sorted this whole mess out. With collection by the ST holder only unless a suitable reason can be given and pre-arranged.2 late night opening slots for those that work. ST holders get 5 days, general sale after that. Simple.
Absolutely. We want to hear suggestions and ideas so we can try and get as fair a system as possible going forward. The club are absolutely comitted to this.
RE: There is no need for any of this 'away ticket stub' ballax... But I don't see why season ticket holders who have been to say six away games this season, should not get priority over season ticket holders who have no stubs and have decided to go to their first away match, just because it's Liverpool. As Moose said earlier today, you get to see the same old faces at every away game. I also don't understand why the club had late night opening sorted for late this week, when the mad rush was going to be when they first went on sale.
RE: BUt what about those that travel to most home and away games Depending on the time of the season, give them priority including home and away stubs. For example it's late on in the season now and so if none season ticket holders want priority, have them produce about twenty stubs. It's harder with people like that, because it comes down to so many different things. I think it's disgusting that fans who have travelled thousands of miles this season on public transport might not be there.
Good for London tykes! or should it be miles from your home postcode? I have 100's of away tickets from days of yo'r.p...lymouth away some cold friday night in 1988 etc....would they count?
RE: See: Footy Miles nt I think that would be a sensible option, it's just whether the cost to implement it would be worthwhile for a problem that occurs once every 4 or 5 years.
RE: BUt what about those that travel to most home and away games I travel to home games by foot.
Why should those with a lower carbon footprint be penalised?

What happened to the category system? I remember all supporters were divided up into categories for away tickets, using various criteria, in the Premier League season & I'm sure for a short while, at least, afterwards. Did all that information get lost when we went into administration or has it simply been dropped as people thought it was no longer necessary?
the fans gave advice 2 year ago the supporters trust gave advice within the last few weeks. pissing in the wind?
Thats the category i'd fit into... and if were gonna give everyone some sort of priority then the men/women who work in the club shop need a priority. The men/women who volunteer their services to Oakwell AM and the academy need a priority. I could go on.
People who volunteer their saturday and sunday mornings to referee and run the line for the academy in return receive a 'pass' which gives them entry to all home league games, but no priority for cup games. They don't need an ST as they are provided with free entry to all home league games.
Its gonna end up going over the top. Not everyone is going to pleased whatever happens.

In that case they should be. One of the main attractions of a season ticket, along with it being cheaper if you stump it all up front , is that as a ST holder you get first chance at ticket such as this. That has always been the case, but to then say you can have 2 tickets , when you have only bought 1 ST is crazy.
