timed out twice, whille trying to post a messge, and you tell me it aint slow

who do you get your internet off?

it might be a problem at their end, i get the same problem occasionally but tend to find at the same time that other sites are slow as well

Also on 4Mb Virgin - mind you I think since the move over to Virgin, blueyonder has got worse.

Introduced traffic shaping which slows you down and limits the amount you can download at the busiest times (4pm-midnight)
Every other ISP does it but that's why Blueyonder used to be a cut above. They tried it once before without telling anyone but got rumbled and did a frantic U-turn. But Virgin have brought it back in with a vengeance.

It's a bit bad then when all I was doing was posting a message on here!

Not as though I was downloading music or anything like that, this site is hardly graphic rich or owt!

Although I've found a quick way round it....having clicked submit, if it's taking ages to refresh the screen, click on the "main bbs forum" at the top and it brings the main forum page up quickly and your message has been posted.

 

Been Doing that for days !!
