How did you find Eric Clapton's new album? Curious, cos the reviews I read were shocking, but it's really not too bad.

Hiya Gary, I played it for the first time yesterday and I really liked it. It's different to all the other things he's done though. I'm a massive Clapton fan and I think after a few more plays the songs will grow on me more, but the initial thoughts were ok.
The press don't like it, but they are trying to be trendy. Paul McCartney new album out Sept13th, best thing he's done since Revolver. It sounds great.
I'll be definitely buying that one and the new Simple Minds Cd that comes out next week. Heard a few tracks on Talk Sport when Alan Brazil was interviewing the frontman, apparently they are old mates.
That's him - I just couldn't think of his name at the time. He lives lives abroad now, comes back for the Celtic games.
