    just phoned into work at Rotherham council - all phone lines dead, computers knackered, can't even access e-mail from home... buildings been evacuated and most of the staff that live in Rotherham have been called into the emergency planning rooms to help out.</p>

    so don't think I'll bother...</p>

    Just been on and ended up in a 1 and 'aif hour solid traffic jam all way up to J35. A61 is knackered and route though Chapletown shut. </p>

    Bloody chaos.</p>

    Aye motoway shut from J36 so thats one way no go and Dearne valley parkway/swinton/rawmarsh/rotherham a defo no go.

    North from Barnsley was ok this morning

    North to Barnsley isnt.
    33-35 closed both ways. You can use the parkway at your own risk to go to sheffield.
