Tip when buying an expensive item or a few things at once.

Some online mail order companies like Kays and Freemans offer a whacking 20% off your first order, not credit, not cashback, OFF. You can pocket a further 8% by going to Kays through Quidco.

They're not necessarily the cheapest to start with but occasionally they are and often match others.

A couple of examples -

Tumble dryer from Kays ended up just over £100 cheaper than anywhere else (20% off for 1st order and a further 8% from Quidco.)

42" Toshiba LCD TV from Freemans (HD ready, Freeview, hidden speaker system etc)with 20% off weighs in at £1520. Just under £400 cheaper than anywhere else I can find.

You only get one crack at your first order per address so lump a few things together or buy with a mate.

 

Oh yeah, I forgot to say.

There are often codes you can enter too but I don't know if they apply on top of the first order discount. They often appear on the forums such as Martin Lewis's.

The Freemans one for the winter collection is 15%.
