Can recommend this place Decent sized rooms, breakfast included. Out of the centre but theres a tram line at end of road and metro station a few blocks away. Some decent bars nearby that aren't full of stag dos from England (or anywhere else for that matter!) I've recommended it to a few people who all liked it. http://www.hotelchodska.cz
Try http://www.travel.cz Independent agent with an office in the city centre. Books competitively for hotels and apartments in either the old town, or for the younger end Wenceslas Square. We have twice used them, 100% reliable for both accommodation and airport transfers. Both times we used JUNGMANN-A APARTMENTS - http://www.travel.cz/accommodation/geninfo_JUNGMANN_A_APARTMENTS_en_4280.html (click "More Pictures") Each apartment, and there are several, sleeps either three couples or 6 singles, and cheap as chips despite being right in the thick of it, and designed like Habitat showrooms. Parents used them for a hotel in the old town - everything has gone well, never any probs. I remember the second time we went it was a group of lads, and we kept calling them because we were always too hungover every day to go to the office to pay! They must get it all the time and kept saying "OK, come tomorrow"!
