What was it like being at the England game? I can't remember seeing an England match where the fans turned so quickly.
To be fair, in the section we were in most of the criticism was pretty good natured - people were just laughing at how bad we are. Judging from what my mate said though i think things seemed a bit more aggressive on the side where the tunnel was. Most of the frustration i think was with the investment of time and money that people have made for some of the players to look like they didn't care. Rooney was absolutely appalling, no competitive goals for three years now and if there was anyone better than Peter Crouch or Andy Johnson he'd be having to look to his laurels Olympic stadium in Barcelona - how did that host an Olympics 15 years ago? Unbelievable. Worst stadium I've been to since Belle Vue. Was a good trip though - got back at 2;30am this morning and off on a stag do to Edinburgh at lunchtime. Yay!
Rooney is a weird one. There is no doubt in my mind about how good he is and can be. I think he has a massive attitude problem when it comes to playing for England. I think in his head, he thinks 70% of the players around him aren't good enough to be on the same pitch as him, so he can't be arsed.
I think rooney just doesnt care about england because he'll still pick up a wage at man utd regardless. It's all about money for little thugs like him
