    Agree.
Mr Owl came to the game today and I was curling up with embarassment. These idiots played right into the hands of those who see Barnsley fans as Neanderthals.
    I was mortified.
    It wasn't even funny.

    Was that from our end?

Heard the noise but nothing clear enough to comment on. Hoped (?) it was just idiot away fans.

yes i only heard one comment from one fan in the away end. the chanting, laughing and general disrespect was mainly our own so called fans which is repulsive.

    Agreed

Thought at first it was going to be a minutes applause....seemed to start that way, shame it didn't stay like that.

yes, our fans in ponty end

it started as some fans were coming through the gangways, making a bit of noise, probly not realising what was going on. Someone then shouted "shut the **** up" and a large number laughed. Then the stoke fans started up, giving it the usual yorkshire ******* and so on. It finished with a shout from the bench area saying " your not big enough"

all in all it shouldnt have happened. how would you feel if it was in memory of someone in your faily? Or you?

No idea but it came from one of the benches I think

And whoever it was should be fined by their club

Doncaster Also Were Having A Minutes Silence For Him........

And 1 Of There Fans Said This

Not from where I was standing. A number of people (a minority, admittedly) were laughing throughout, a phone went off, someone answered it, cue more laughter. Someone near me actually shouted at them to show some respect. Hardly impeccable is it.

    Its Disgraceful (NOOO)

Complete moronic twits who respect nothing and nobody.

It started really well, with warm applause all round the ground - including Stokies - as Charlie's name was announced.

Then the pondlife started and it all went tits up.

In hindsight, a minute's applause would have been better. But why should our traditions have to be changed to accommodate chimps?

it was Roy the knob sellin the half time draw tickets

    complete silence then:
"HALF TIME DRAW" right in the middle of it.

    dick

Someone then shouted stfu - q laughter. Im sure charlie would ave seen the funny side. The a bit more noise from the latecomers.

It was well respected by 99% of the crowd so dont make a big deal out of it.

We have more than our share of rascist, thick, ignorant, puerile fans. They need reporting to the authorities, and it is up to all descent fans, who are the majority, to do something about it, and noy wait for someone else to do it for you.

    RE: Agreed

Surely a minute's applause would have been more appropriate for an entertainer. Still doesn't excuse the mindless, disrespectful behaviour though. I hope if any of Charlie's family happened to be present they weren't too upset by what went on.
