..... give it a chuffing rest will you.

Have you been watching Barnsley FC for the last two and half years? We've been crap, apart from the odd game here and there, absolutely awful to watch, especially away from home.

The guy may be a nice bloke, he may have been working hard and doing his best but that doesn't mean he's any good at his job, we could all do that on the salary that he's been on.

God knows who we will get next, but I sincerely hope it's somebody with a lot more idea than Davey had, that's for sure, or we really are up **** creek without a paddle

Has anyone considered that where not big enough to be a championship club anymore and we are just not good enough?

We don’t have the crowds, don’t generate any cash and therefore don’t have a good enough team?

We just cannot complete with most teams financially and due to that have to do what you can. Saying that we do have a lot of good players and in my opinion should be placed higher. Don’t know whether that’s delusion on my part but maybe the league is stronger than it looks.

And least of not all the ground is just not a hostile place to come and play anymore for opposing teams.

I was one of Simon Davey’s biggest critics from day 1 but if you don’t have the money it doesn’t have make a difference who you have in charge at times.

I think it’s a time for everyone to make Oakwell intimidating again as it does make a big difference to how players perform.

People might say the players have an impact on that which is true but like in the words of Paul Merson a few weeks ago on Soccer Saturday, sometimes you can be up for a game and then get out onto the pitch and there’s just a little applause from a dead crowd and he’d think at times why do I bother.

Get a dose of reality mate, he kept us in the championship and took us to a Wemnley semi - Leeds, Norwich, Charlton etc would have settled for that

    Totally agree with Albatross.

He was a **** man manager, **** tactician, **** motivator, couldn't change the side's system mid-game when we desperately needed it and **** at creating any sort of rapport with the fans ....

    WELL RID OF HIM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't think anyone has ever said he's a great manager.

    Have they?

Totally disagree - the man did a sterling job under difficult circumstances - like most great men he won't be appreciated fully until he has gone

    Totally agree

Davey had a shocking Plan A and no Plan B, apart from the very occasional decent game the last 2 and half years have been bloody awful.
