... you should be disgusted in yourselves, never ever show your faces at oakwell again you complete and utter cowards. you are not welcome - you do not deserve a Championship side. Up the Reds
How on earth have you got the right to tell other people what they can or cannot do? How should people show their displeasure at such an abject performance as todays?
I didn't boo today and I didn't enjoy hearing it after 45 minutes but they paid their entrance fee and I can understand why they booed that first half ****.
my thoughts entirely - I doubt there is a ground in the country where after such a poor display by the first team there wouldnt be some of the crowd booing - we were awful Not sure you can tell everyone to behave the same way as you did
By not turning up. Fine, boo at the end of or half time to let 'em know, but ten/fifteen minutes in? Explain to me what possible good that did yesterday.
The average Barnsley household income is well below the national average. These are the people who pay the players their over inflated wages. They have every right to make their feelings know to the players. They are not cowards but the players are. I challenge the players to come on here and explain why they are not putting a full shift in. The cowards were on the field yesterday not in the stands. One comment made by the group behind me was " If they think we are going to pay £30 to watch rubbish like this then they have got another thing coming". Dark Days ahead for BFC me thinks.
i dont understand their COWARDLY inconsistencies though, i remember Daveys first home game, we lost 3-0 to sheffield wednesday and no booing.
How should people show their displeasure at such an abject performance as todays? .....By not turning up to the next match.
How's about a post from you that doesn't mention the ticket prices? The majority of fowk there yesterday paid one of the cheapest season ticket prices around, so that's not an excuse. Or was it just pay on the days that booed?
He is right in what he says though, that is what will happen. We will be down to 7500 home fans, i.e. the season ticket holders. I can definitely see league attendances below 10000 this season.
The problem is most people seem to think failure is acceptable. I'm not advocating booing but you shouldn't praise someone for not doing well, just as you wouldn't slate someone for doing well. That's where our society is going wrong in general - kids at school get bullied and looked down upon for succeeding, what kind of message is that giving out for later life? Also, look at other sports such as athletics, we consider coming 2nd or 3rd as success and build our kids up teaching them this. At the end of the day its not acceptable - no more of this ******** "punching above our weight", "small club, big league", etc. We're here on merit, its still our 11 men versus theirs and our team need to show up and do what they are paid to do week in, week out on a consistent basis. If i under-performed in my job i'd get sacked, and some of these blokes earn my annual salary in 3-4 weeks. You have to put this in perspective... To f*ck up a parents favourite saying, its not the taking part that counts, its the winning. Stop accepting failure and start striving for excellence, its the only way you're going to progress.
Fool. 'Never ever show your faces at Oakwell again'. Fool! As if we can afford that. I'd rather 21,000 booing and paying than an empty ground in silence. Idiot.
£46 quid for me and r lass (her first. . . and last game) to watch that shower of *****. I'll boo if I want and probably would have done if I'd have endured it to the end. And whats cowardly about it? Don't get that at all . . .
