You should be ashamed, he probably will be a good manager in a few years to come but he will learn his trade to OUR clubs demise, his comments on the radio CLEARLY stated that he was either on drugs or watching another game, it does not matter how many badges you have it does not make you a good manager, i seem to Remember a certain Nigel Spackman who talked a good game , i wonder what happened to him and the clubs he managed.

Get a grip NOW shepherd and get some experience in to build again for Division 1 because thats where we will be.

GS is a typical "commercial" business manager, he picked Davey on statistics, presentation, and information, instead of experience, life skills and Footballing proffesionals respect, Stats dont win games neither do coaching badges, skill, experience and man management do

Jeysus, enough of all this "experience" nonsense.

Everybody seems to be banging on about Davey's lack of experience and demanding an experienced manager. Well experience is not the be all and end all.

The last three managers to take us up before Ritchie were Clarke, Hunter and Wilson - all in their first management job.

Spackman was experienced. Paul Hart was experienced.

    Aidy Boothroyd had no experience.

Experience is one of the many plus points you can have, but it's not the only one.

Should Wayne Rooney not have played for England until he was in his early 20s to get some experience under his belt? Are Sunderland whinging about Roy Keane's lack of experience in management?

We all seem to be too ready to moan and get on people's backs. Imagine how the confidence of people who want to do well for the club (Davey, Kidd, Mattis, Lucas) must be if they read the nonsense on here. I really do get the impression that most of the people who post on here are like the tabloid press when England are at the World Cup - they seem to prefer Barnsley to fail so they can say I told you so to anyone stupid enough to listen rather than get behind them and will them to do well.

No idea. Definitely not at work, though. Honest.

    Unfair comparison.

Even a total f**king idiot can tell Rooney is world class, and Sunderland aren't, or were ever going to be, in a relegation battle. Clarke, Hunter and Wilson came in to the job in a much better position than we are now (I think. I'm not a proper fan, so I'm willing to be corrected), so could actually afford to experiment/gamble with players who may or may not actually make the grade. Davey doesn't have that luxury. The board doesn't have that luxury. The club doesn't have that luxury.

We need one of them to realise that.

I was a big supporter of Davery ...until yesterday

Yes we have a limited squad. Not His Fault. Yes no player has played at this level before, again not his fault. But what is his fault is the lack of passion on display by all the players involved, one or two exceptions.

I'll accept any defeat if the players give of their best but at the moment that is not the case.

besides the fact he picks the wrong team most weeks. Surely this is the team to go for, when all fit and available.

    Hassell Kay Atkinson Eckersly
    K Reid Howard McCann Devaney

Davey said something along the lines of.....I don't need to make a written application I will let performances and results speak for themselves.......

Just how did he get the job then.....was it on the back of the awful performance and a lucky 1-0 against Ipswich......?!

Should have been appointed as an Assistant to an expereinced Manager. He learns the trade and we actually look to the future, having him ready to step in in a couple of seasons time.
