    Both did well, no trees up but did their bit and brought us home 3 points! We are not a bad side, don't care what anyone says.

    No thats what I've thought,even though the results have not been going our way,the football hasn't been the 'dross' that some people see......................matter of opinion I suppose

    I agree. We've been the better team on many occasions and its just the lack of composure in front of goal that has cost us a few more wins. I can only imagine that the people writing to the Chronicle saying its the worst Barnsley team they've ever seen haven't been to Oakwell much over the last 25 years.

    Blackburn away is still the match that demonstrates where we are. We can match most teams and exchange punches and equal performance. But then we lack that extra quality that will win or lose you a match on a regular basis. And that costs money, which is why this league is being slyly re-branded Premier 2.

    If people want to take that out on the manager let em, but it will not change what is happening to this league and how that will impact on our status.

    Trouble is Paul, Hill could have bought a genuine class player in, but he went for a scatter gun approach and hoped he could find a gem, Robins went out and bought a centre half because that is what we needed, then got some loans in, Hill signed God knows how many, then realised we were no better off and the brought some loans in and still didnt get it right with the players he brought in. Both managers spent the same amount of cash but have done it different ways and both have needed loans.
    Myself i would have preferred to get the quality player in then sort out the rest after.

    Whilst I agree overall,I believe there's still room for the committed team, to give less well off clubs...or clubs not prepared to go millions in to debt to survive,a crack at staying up and possibly even prospering,Jackett doesn't seem to be doing a bad job at Millwall.....I'm not convinced yet that Hill cannot do that

    Mark its ok saying that but its more of a risk putting all your eggs in 1 basket when players can easily get injured or just turn out to be ****, then you are up **** creek with no options.
