    I wholeheartedly salute you.

    After the past few weeks, to turn out for a less than attractive game, in the most low-key competition possible, takes an astonishing amount of loyalty or stupidity.

    I was never going to make this game, due to Parents' Evening & Football Training, but had I even had an option, I'd have turned it down.

    Well done for sticking with it.

    From a personal point of view, I don't think I'm worthy of that praise. I went to pub to meet a friend, had a couple of pints, watched a game of football. It really wasn't a chore.

    Nah, that was on your doorstep, and you had a lift, and we weren't so desperately crap then.

    These people are "proper fans".

    Though I would throw into the conversation, that once, back in my youth, pre kids, and responsibility, I once went on a "first date" to a pre season friendly at Gainsborough. That is loyalty and madness at the same time. It didn't end well.

    retrieved it with the kids though.
    So basically, a Wednesdayite has brought an extra Barnsley fan into the world, and another tinkering on the edge. (LJ could help me out a bit with some results)

    If you look at it properly, I've done BFC a better service than most. I've created one, possibly two new Reds fans, whilst at the same time taking 2 away from Wednesday. The utlimate 6 pointer. No need to thank me.
