i was chewing the fat with big lil before the match and i honestly thought we'd get a right "coating" because fulham have just come down and we've just come up, supposedly massive gulf in class, the defence has been ripped apart 2 new centre backs, a new 'keeper and a rightback playing on the left, 2 new midfielders/wingers and a couple of new strikers added into the mix, so for me it didnt bode well, but as an old and wise Jedi saying goes............................................. WHAT THE **** DO I KNOW ?????. fantastic performance by everyone. . uredddddssssss. just for the doubters and usual supects that was a prime example of moneyball at its finest
I honestly thought it'd be a repeat of when we played them when Parker was captain. Not necessarily out playing us, but out-experiencing us, getting the ref on their side etc. I definitely expected us conceding a penalty at least.
I thought they would pick off our young side 4..0! But a fantastic ....all action display. We totally out worked them, it really was phenomenal. All played well today, Diaby was very steady , wilks lively and Behre a joy to watch (1st half mainly). Well done reds and well done danny, thought cav at left back had a great game too.
