davey has shown time and time again he is inept as a manager. a few pre season wins against some non league u9 teams and we think we are brilliant.

Not 100% Daveys fault but he gets paid to pick a team to go out and win, select the tatics and motivate the players but if he cant do that then he has to go and hes not doing any of the above he should of gone after the win at Plymouth imo!!

...it's not a case of 'better the devil you know' in this case. I'm sure there are a lot of capable candidates out there that could steer this group of players to midtable safety. We're not going to get one in until this fella goes.

 

I see the pledge to be "ruthless" with team selection doesn't apply to blue eyed boy JCR, despite him being the worst player so far this season.

 

I honestly think whoever comes in will struggle.
We have a few academy players with promise.

To be fair...

...we can knock our fans all we want, but we get decent gates when we're doing well, and not bad gates when things are tough (there is an apetite for football in the town). It's simple really - Barnsley fans want to see the team playing real football, the way it is supposed to be played - attacking, playing to win, ball to feet. You give them that, and a genuine bit of progress (which we haven't been seeing with our year on year relegation struggles) and you'll get them right behind you. How many did we take away to Lincoln? Barnsley fans are no worse than anyone else. What is more frustrating than anything is the fact that we are signing decent players, but not showing any improvement because no matter what, the tactics are as crap as ever.
