    Gi'or with yourselves!

This is how I see it... we could have had this spell at the end of last season or at the start of this one, take your pick! Flicker was always going to need time to learn how to manage a team at this level, I reckon that's what we can see happening now. He somehow managed to keep us up when most people didn't give us a chance, surely he earned more than 4 matches to properly prove himself?

Let's not abandon ship and resign to league 1 already, 4 games isn't a season - no matter how poor we play or how many goals we concede. I'm sure some people on here just feel obliged to say we're going down every season just so they can shout "I told you so" if it happens. I still believe Flicker has what we need to progress, I also believe he has, will bring in and has brought in the players we need to progress. Maybe they haven't performed well so far this season, but to say they aren't Championship players is ridiculous! Under Flicker last season, the players we have didn't JUST keep us in the league, they put in performances that saw us 4th in the table from the Leeds game onwards.

Put it in if you like, from the 11th of January to the 30th of June!

Whatever's going wrong, wrong formations or whatever - we'll turn it around, maybe we won't finish 4th but we're certainly not going down or even having another relegation scrap where we only just hang on. If you've listened to the post match interview from today, you'll have heard the 'fighting talk' is back. He's learning you can't just sit back and take positives out of heavy defeats all the time, the passion and drive from last season is coming back. Believe, we'll be on fire in no time!

Great post. What has gone so far means nothing, provided we start winning some games soon. Personally I think we will, but there are some decisions by flicker that baffle me. But it's his job to manage the team, all we can do is hope he gets it right.

    My god some rational thought...

Flicker talks a lot of *****. I'd love a copy of his dictionary... He's made decisions I wouldn't have made this season and we've lost games.

He also kept us up against ridiculous odds without wholesale changes to a squad which was deservedly bottom of the league half way through last season. Not one fan didn't want him appointed on the off season to my knowledge - and four league games in, two of which containing sendings off, plus a match in the capital one Mickey Mouse cup, and some want him out and many more are questioning a lot of what he does.

He's earnt a run of games. At least a dozen before he warrants all this critique, and I'd say at least 20 maybe 25 before his position would be questioned if it wasn't picking up. I think it will, he deserves a chance to prove it.

I agree, I think things will pick up. We've got a large squad with plenty of ability in there. It just so happens that we've missed a number of opportunities to pick up what could be crucial points. I don't think it's time to get too disheartened by that already as there are still plenty left to play for and I think we've been playing reasonably OK.

I've been impressed by Flitcroft's signings so far and I'm sure a good result is just around the corner. It would be nice to pick a win up against Hudders but I have a feeling it will be another hard fought draw, which wouldn't be the end of the world. If we can get people like Cranie, Nyatanga, Jennings, McCourt and Pedersen all in the team, I think things will start to look a lot different.

Agree 100%. Think we'll win next weekend.

I'm not despondent. I'm excited about next weekend (can't make the cup game, I'm working).

I think we've got a decent group of players, and I'm still of the belief that Flitcroft is the right man.

Yes, some of his selections (or non selections) aren't to my liking, but that's the case with most managers. I'll question them, especially when there are some bizarre goings-on. But that doesn't affect my support for the players, the manager or especially the club.

A win next weekend and we're up and running.

And having now seen the M'Voto red card, I feel we were harshly done by today from the outset.

We scored two cracking goals. We'll eventually get the rub of the green in games. And this squad of players will gel, and get things right.

I still think we'll fare better this season than we normally do. Just need to retain our support and stay behind them.

    Goodnight.

    You Reds.
