Some said we wouldn't make it In the first leg we were poor But we made Peter jackson cry Until his eyes were sore And kept them down While we're promotion bound Chorus 1 We've Colgan, Hassell, Hecky and Kay Howard, Nardy, Shuker and Hayes Tonge and Wright all counting the days To the Mellenium Let's back Holden and Ritchie Bring along a friend Make sure that your wearing red Let's fill that Barnsley end Be no one in town When we all go down Chorus 2 We know Richards and Austin can play No doubt Mc Phail will be class on the day And ther'll be Disco dancing away At the Mellenium Come watch us lift the cup Because the reds are going up At the Mellenium We've Colgan, Hassell, Hecky and Kay Howard, Nardy, Shuker and Hayes Tonge and Wright all counting the days To the Mellenium We know Richards and Austin can play No doubt Mc Phail will be class on the day And ther'll be Disco dancing away At the Mellenium
Good effort, Dave. But most folk on here can't remember if they've locked the back door, let alone that many lyrics!!
Taxi for Mr Cooper..... ....
No, actually that's very good, scans well, but I can't see 20,000 odd people learning the words by next Saturday !

I can't even think what the tune goes like So it doesn't scan very well for me! It's Millennium by the way.
We could just use this bit though Come watch us lift the cup Because the reds are going up At the Mellenium
Decent effort, but not as good as The Tykes Are Going Up, which somebody wrote to the tune of Depeche Mode's Just Can't Get Enough recently. ff
