This is the man that used his show to highlight the plight of BFC...

being a Barnsley fan like...

Very poor IMHO. Yes Bluebell Wood might be more deserving of the cash, but it's a bit hypocritical of him to say that now...

I'll contribute to their fund.

Some people on here have very short memories.

Unfortunately Rotherham Council are not behind them and any money spare goes to support the Rugby Club.

I really, really feel for them.

The next step is liquidation.

It is too awful to contemplate if yo are a fan.

Look on the Chelsea board where the Rotherham appeal fund have placed a link.

Reading some of the posts on there made me feel physically sick with their arrogance and 'we don't care. we've got plenty of money' attitude,

From a rotherham fan:

The man (toby foster) has just rediculed the plight of the club and said let it go bust,he also told people not to put money in to save the club, give it to Bluebell
wood appeal instead. I have already texted to say he,s a disgrace,

please text his show now and show your disgust at his comments

Radio Dee Dar replied with this:

Thank you for your e-mail. We understand the strength of feeling
surrounding the issue of Rotherham's survival. BBC Radio Sheffield
carried extensive reports last night and in our Breakfast show this
morning including a lot of information about how fans can help towards
saving the club and the initiatives which are already in place.

As part of Toby's slot with the sports reporter this morning he
approached the story from another perspective by pointing out the while
a lot of emotion surrounds football the club is still a business and
there is not the same outcry or show of support with other business
failings and this was a valid point to make.

I understand your upset at his suggestion that people might not want to
give money and may want to think of giving it to a charity instead, but
this is also a view that has been put to us by some listeners on text
messages. Toby is clearly a provactive presenter, who voices his opinion
and this is the style of his programme. I'm sorry if this caused
offence.

It should be noted however that in our programme Football Heaven last
night our presenters were very positive and pushed fans to show their
support and following a meeting that we have had with the club today we
will be looking at a number of ways we can highlight the campaign with
further editorial coverage.

Thank you once again for taking the time to let us know your views,
which will be passed on to the production team.
