Just got back from the Dil Raj at Dodworth.Sort of celebrating our survival as well as a family birthday! Very relieved and impressed with today`s performance - thought best of the bunchtoday were: Kozluk - strong sound and dependable Hassell - much maligned but worked extremely hard and has never gone missing in the face of all the criticism JCR - made us tick today Macken - deserved his goal for his 100% effort. I suppose I`m a little disappointed like most people that we have have floundered in the league in the second half of the season.I think it goes back to just before Christmas when we had just started firing with Macken beginning to score goals and De Silva finding his feet in the side. Then they both returned to their respective clubs and we lost all momentum. Howard was also at the top of his game. By the time they returned we had lost our impatus. Going forward I`m afraid we might have seen the last of Howard and I`m not of the mind that we will be better off with a million or so in the bank as I think he will be hard to replace (Leon isn`t the answer). I`m fairly bullish about next season I just think we need some experience to provide some knowhow especially away from home - and of course a GOALSCORER but I think we will be looking again at a hopeful unknown rather than a tried and tested name. I just wish we were looking forward to another trip to Wembely. All in all I think we have had alot less interesting seasons in recently!
more +'s its been quite memorable, not disgraced at newcastle with a weakened team...eh? beating 2 of the best teams in england that are now fighting each other for a champions league final a few good displays in the league....along with a few bad un's, but thats EVERY team in this league this season. and a trip to wembley! looking back "its been emotional"
