NFL fans like myself have waited years for. It is expected to be announced that this Autumn New York Giants will play Miami Dolphins at either Wembley or Twickenham in a regular season match. Soon as tickets go on sale, i shall be getting some. Going to be like goldust the tickets will. Shame we couldn't get a couple of better teams over here to play. But it's still the first regular season game ever to be played outside of America. Like Miami don't get enough with hosting the Superbowl this sunday. For the record Indianapolis Colts will win the Superbowl on sunday.
Just a shame about the teams - dislike both of them. Still won't come close to the experience of seeing a game over there. First regular season game outside of North America, not outside of the USA. Arizona played the 49ers in Mexico last season. Reckon if all goes well we could get a game every 2 seasons. Germany will probably get one next year so not too bad to go to. p.s. are you registered on NFL UK? They are trying to work out the best way to sell tickets, they don't want it to be a corporate event but to get tickets to the regular fans.
Fancy Dress ? NFL shirts are much better then rugby shirts. I envy my mate who owns both a Eli and Peyton Manning shirt. Yes i am registered on NFL UK site. I shall pop on over there to see what is happening.
Whilst 100K+ turned up at the game at the Azteca Stadium no one seemed to understand the game and the bigges t cheer of the night was when some local Football results were announced.
Should be better over here.

RE: Fancy Dress ? There's no point replying to the ignorant wind-ups DB. I got a Reggie Bush shirt from ebay early in the season, excellent quality and even with the shipping from the US, it cost me less than a Barnsley shirt would have from Oakwell!
RE: Fancy Dress ? Yes Barnsley should take note of how cheap the more popular shirts are to get. Reggie Bush had a very good rookie season as a rushing back. It's a shame Saints couldn't go a step further with everything that state has been through. As for the Fatty Boy comment, i don't see your problem with Kelly Clarkson. She sings live very good, writes her own songs, has live backing, and beat a hefty five figure crowd to win the talent show she did. Rather listen to her than some repetitive dance crap
NFL is a dull, dull sport live ... I used to watch it religiously years ago. Followed the Bears from 1984 and threw a sickie from School so I could stay up all night and watch Superbowl XX live. At that time Channel 4 showed very few live games and just highlights. After the Superbowl win the Bears brought their superbowl winning team over to Wembly to play the Dallas Cowboys in an exhibition match. Bears won, Dallas cheerleaders made for good viewing but I have never been as bored in all my life with the stop start stop start nature of the game. I know NFL has its fervent fans like any sport does but when it comes to watching live games it isn't even the same league as proper football.
RE: Am i right in thinking? The only known wrestler who is well known and gay is Chris Kanyon. But he isn't with a major wrestling company no more. You should give NFL a chance and watch the Superbowl on sunday.
I Would......... want to go watch my 49ers if anyone over there. Yes they have been crap and never recovered from the Jerry Rice and Jeff Garcia days. However they are coming good again, if last season is anything to go on. Plus i think experiencing the gay nightlife of San Francisco (most gay state) would be something to remember.
You have to admit though , the continuity is missing. Especially when the TV call a timeout , if you are not used to it happening it can be very confusing.
I like American Football , and I think it would be a far better game if it was allowed to flow more.
In fact the same goes for all the American sports.

Agree ... If you said no time-outs allowed. 30 second maximum between plays (including switching teams) and didn't have so many penalties it would be a lot more watchable.
RE: You have to admit though , the continuity is missing. The "TV timeouts" are strange - didn't notice that happen in New Orleans, just took it as a natural break. However when I saw a game in Chicago the stadium announcer said "theres a timeout", this being early in the 1st quarter, so I asked a guy at the side of my who'd called a timeout as it seemed a strange time for a team to call one, he then said it was a TV timeout. But then in football it's interesting to see the "ball in play" stats - there was one the other week (a Chelsea match I think) where in the 1st half the ball was only in play for 23 mins! I would advocate changing to 30 min halves but stopping the clock when the ball goes out of play.
RE: Agree ... I think you still need the penalties. I'd make "face-masking" an automatic exclusion as well.
