    Report::::::

    Hard to pick a man of the match today but looking between Mifsud and Souza, I gave it to Souza. Overall it was one of the worst performances I seen in a while. I thought the home games against Southampton, Ipswich and Charlton were bad, but today we had 11 players that lacked Heart, Passion, Determination and Desire. No one seemed interested today. If the Barnsley team think that we are going to avoid relegation then they seriously need to book their ideas up. We havent dominated a home game this season since Plymouth and even still that wasn't convincing. Who do I blame? I blame the lot of them. Fair enough Simon Davey deserves the brunt of it, but their is still eleven players that enter that field and not one of them looked bothered today.

    If any of the players look at this board by any chance then listen to this.

    I as well as many other fans have been supporting Barnsley FC for a long time (since i was 10, i'm 25 now). If I could wish for anything in my life, it would be that I was good enough to pull on the shirt of Barnsley FC. We all spend good hard earned cash on watching you guys year in, year out and to watch our beloved team give a performance like that today is gut wrenching. If I'd have put in a performance with the desire you guys did today, I'd have probably been sacked. If I could have turned out today, I'd have chased every ball and gone in 120% in every tackle. Fact is, i cant but you can. Today though you didn't and you looked like a team that for some reason, think that you are not in a relegation dogfight. I dont want to see us return to League 1 and I hope you dont but if we dont pull up our socks, thats where we will be. Us fans are behind you 100% and although not everyone is behind the manager, we want him to do well for our club. Please Please please, give us the credit we deserve as fans and wear that shirt with pride cos if us fans were as good at football than what we are at being a Barnsley supporter, we would be top of the league.

    Back to todays game, Muller had little to do but still doesnt look the player we had last season. Kozluk was at fault a few times today and was out of position a lot. Souza and Moore were ok and defended quite well, never looked troubled. Colace has been quiet a lot and looks better at the side of Anderson. Hassell did well again and got his foot stuck in, final ball was poor today though. El Haimour just isnt good enough for this division, he looks out of his depth. Hammill did alright. Some great crosses in the box but tried doing too much against his former club. JCR to me has been disappointing since we played Wednesday. Hes getting found out a lot now and keeps cutting in too much. Bogdanovic had his worst game today. He looked poor at holding ball up and got knocked about too much. Mifsud again chased every cause and i couldnt knock him on his effort today.

    All in all a game to forget but one thing we can't forget is that we aint gonna stay up playing like that. We need to raise our game and play like every game is a cup final. As for Simon Davey, is he the right man for the job? No he isnt and it may be time for a change but now isnt the time to do it. It is too late to bring in another manager, there just isnt enough time. Simon needs to book his ideas up aswell. the fans will get behind the team but You need to get the team up for games and stop coming out with the same crap every week. We were **** today, wind or no wind Simon. Get the lads playing how we know they can.

    I aint seen what the older generationhave seen, Granted. But what I did see today is a team of half wits that just didnt cut it. I hate it when we lose and it spoils my night. I know there is a lot of ups and downs being a supporter but I fro one hope this year isnt a downer. Please god help us out, lol

    rapidly approaching 50 years of following..and getting mighty sick of the recent stuff

    ok in the long past we were lower leagues...but the name " BATTLING BARNSLEY" was not just glibly given....the last few years are a total and utter disgrace to the history of the club thats was once revered as all that name suggests. We are now ..and have been a while.. a joke name in football.yes we had a brief return to the spirit of the "Battling Barnsley days" on two magical days at Anfield and Oakwell when we humbled two of Englands..NAY Europes..Nay The Worlds finest football teams. That was , if we are all honest, pure luck.Right now we are the laughing stock of Yorkshire football. We also are becoming the hope of fellow strugglers for the points they need for survival.Listening to the game on world today disgusted me for one aspect... the commentary occasionaly said "And Now we go pitch side"..they asked the guy pitch side what reaction was coming from our manager..the answer...nothing..NOTHING. They said he was just stood there , no emotion ..no reaction..NOTHING. You all wonder why we are struggling. Look at managers like Ferguson,O'Neil,Clough(brian), Mourinho, need I go on... they and their ilk would have been dancing with anger today on the touchline at the antics out on the field..encouraging, cajoling, coaching..BOLLOCKING the slackers out there...also they would have contingency plans. OUR MAN HAS NONE OF THAT.. we go one way with this guy...and thats DOWN...ask yourselves, how far down.

    38 years since I saw our first 1-0 home defeat

    Have seen worse performances than today - I remember a side in the old 3rd division that went 6 games in a row without scoring.

    But I am sure we had worse players in those days.

    My biggest single complaint is I want to be entertained - remember the teams of Clarke, Hunter, Wilson - even Bassett and Ritchie - I never wanted to watch a side that tried to grind out 1-0 wins - definitely not at home

    If we were succesful at it maybe I would put up with it but the performance today apart from the 5 minutes before half time had no passion, creativity or logic to the tactics. - and when things were not working no ability to change

    Classic example already mentioned on here - Long throws to one of the 3 defenders surrounding Moore
