    REPORT
The reds gave us a 100% committed performance. I didnt agree with the 4-5-1 with Hume as the lone striker though. When you playe that formation you need a big strong target man who can hold the ball up and bring players into the game ie. Yakubu, Adebayor. For me Odejayi should have started in that position. I aint saying that Odejayi should be a regular but if Davey isnt playing 2 up and Macken is injured then the obvious candidate was Odejayi. Muller was in cuckoo land today hence the low rating, Hassell was solid enough, Moore kept up his high standard that we have seen in the last 5 games (well done big man), Souza was consistant again and same goes for Kozzie. Devaney did well but his end product makes me so frustrated, 1st half he had Sun Jihai in his pocket, 2nd half he did the bye line thing too often and run out of ideas. Good debut for Whaley, Looks to have a good cross on him and hopefully will come good. Colace had a great game breaking up play and has a fantastic passing range and a great touch. Campbell Ryce ran his body into the ground today trying to construct everything. This guy really loves playing for our club and gives us 110% every game. for a little guy he plays as though he is 7ft 10". Hume was poor till he got injured. Mossto did ok and needs games. Oddjob scored a good goal and im really happy for him to score one. Well done Kayode. Anderson deserved to go as did Ugo. I saw them clash and anderson seemed to slap Ugo only for him to retaliate by doing the head butt. Chris Morgan should have seen red for that awful challege on Hume. I saw him at the end of the game clenching his fists and throwin his shirt to the United fans. Barnsley through and through eh chris? As for the penalty decision. Even if it was a penalty, how can an idiot linesman give it from how far away it was. If you are gonna award a pen for something as harsh as that then we should definitly have had one for mr dee dar 2008's clumsy rugby tackle on Darren Moore. Looking at todays performance compared to last year when we played them i can see an improvement from us. One thing won it for them today. Strikers. You get what you pay for in this league. Beattie was quiet all game but he still scored 2 and will score 20 or more again this year. I cant believe that Davey knew on Monday that Macken was out and didnt bring a striker in. I like Davey and wont get on his back but we are missing the final jigsaw piece simon. A striker is needed especially even more if Hume and Macken are out.

Im proud to be a reds fan tonight as the only thing we lost out on today was the result. We deserved at least a draw and if we continue to play the way we have for the past 2 week, then we will be mid table safely i hope. UUUUUUU REEEEDDDDZZZZ

Very good report Royston, although sad to see you don't rate Devaney....not sure what Martin has to do to win over some people. Oh yeah I do, play like Ronaldo, that's it.

PS - Paragraphs are good on such a long report :)

I aint got nothing agaisnt devaney. He is a hot and cold player though. 1st half he was hot, second half he run out of ideas. The thing that annoys me with him is that he tries to do too much. Sometimes getting the ball out of your feet and putting in a cross is better than taking it the the bye line and letting the defender see it out for a goal kick. Dont get me wrong he gives us 100% up and down, its his end product that he needs to improve on. Muller had a shocker

    Chris Morgan's victory salute

I saw that too and thought that was a bit shabby. He certainly nailed his colours to the mast....

    Good report too.
