today was a terrible day for me, I have had to have my dog 'Owyn' put to sleep

    he was 11 years old , he suffered an embolism yesterday, he had been in the Bristol Critical animal unit overnight. We had to let him go today.I feel as if my heart has been torn from me. So I just put on the PC to see how BFC had done. I will say to Mr Flitcroft and all his team , thankyou. Its a ray of sunshine on a very very black day for me



    RIP Owyn my beautiful Boy.

    So sorry to hear that, you have my heartfelt sympathies. Our pets become part of our families so it's a terrible bereavement and emotional trauma when we lose them. My heart goes out to you as like many others I've lost precious pets, a dog and 2 cats, and I know what it feels like.

    I'm truly sorry to hear that [MENTION=54082]Dragon Tyke[/MENTION], people who have never had dogs probably won't understand it, but dogs really are like family members and it hurts like hell when they pass away. :(

    But think of all the good times with Owyn, and like [MENTION=6701]Merde Tete[/MENTION] already suggested, have a little look at the Championship league table as well - hopefully that'll put a smile back on your face.

    I do have a 2 more actually. They too are my special ones, just like he was. Its like losing a close family member, the other too are sensing it too. They are both a bit melancholy right now, I just know they have realised what's happened. But we will be looking for another friend soon.

    Sorry to hear that mate...we had the cat Taz..put to sleep 3 weeks back now he was only 9, kidney failure..still now got over it..the last dog we had..Beasley..lost him 10 years ago now, with the same kidneys...still think about him...
    Thees are very sad times....

    Just had to say how sorry I am for your loss, I've lost dogs too, an I know all too well the the pain is terrible. Keep the memories of him alive and remember the good times.

    I've just had to give my big dopey black lab a cuddle, I scared him this afternoon screaming at the results.
