Today we MUST get straight into Colchester... from the first minute.

Any hanging back and waiting to see what develops and we'll regret it.

 

What needs to happen is for the east west and ponty to be right behind them from the start. If it's quiet and tense they will be too.

There'll be more of us there today than the average game, maybe 3k or 4k more looking at the ticket availability, if we make it a cup atmosphere they'll pick the pace up, and if we go at them then they will fold like a sack of cards, Colchester. Awful side - but good enough to throw a spanner in the works if we play nervously.

 

If it's another Peterborough I hope St. John's have sent extra, there'll be about five thousand heart attacks.

In all honesty as long as we win the game I couldn't give two frigs whether we play well today or if the winner comes in stoppage time. I just maintain we get behind them and stay behind them for 90 minutes. It's not always the greatest atmosphere wise at the well, I don't think we will ever be the kind of club to produce constant noise, but on a day like today we can and should do everything we can

 

That's exactly what we don't need to do.

Patience, not trying to knock em for six from the off. We'll be buggered at half time.
