todays attendance at the well

Means there were more than 5000 plus empty seats. Bearing in mind that nearly as many as the away end holds where were they?

 

Loads of empties in East and West - our half-time guesstimate (from the Ponty) was 17.5 to 18k.

Not 6000 empty seats though surely East stand holds around 8000 it would have had to be to be half full.

as was the west stand, and there were a few empty seats that i could see in the east

Almost all of the last block of the East Lower (ponty end) empty and looked the same at the far end.</p>

West lower only sparsely populated and upper half empty.</p>

So unless the Ponty was full the numbers stack up right for me.</p>

 

I thought the official attendance looked about right. Often looks dubious but thought it was right today.
