Todays Attendance - Shocking

What do we have to do to get people back to Oakwell really thought we might have got around 12-13k today.

 

What was official attendence?

Wasn't It 501 Away Fans Announced?

That was a poor following for a start and way down on last year. I expected about 11k today and so wasn't far out. If we keep the form going, people will come back.

 

Its the cost.

Im not a season ticket holder took my daughter today £35 in.

Give me a cheaper ticket and I'll probably go.

3 points:

1st. anything above 10k is good for us people need to face up to the fact that is just they relatively small size of our fanbase, especially with current ticket prices.

2nd. the club always fiddle the attendances down a bit - 6 thousand empty seats v Leeds last year?

3rd. there were very few Cardiff supporters so there was in fact a good turnout from our fans, remembering point 1 about the size of our fanbase.

 

Improvement on the home support. Only 9500 home fans at last home game. 10200 of us today.

 

RE: 3 points:

1. Prices are shocking when put next to Charlton next week only being twenty pound for a London based team that were a regular in the premiership upto this season.

2. It's a good job we don't have the Wendy chairman for libel like that or you would be going to court lol.

3. 599 was a poor turnout and about a quarted of what they brought last season. Granted it was first match and the first chance in years to come to Oakwell.

The fact that the Welsh were being hammered by Fiji on the telly at egg chasing might have put some of our celtic brothers off from leaving the valleys.

20 for ticket, it's three quid for a pint but you can make do without A return on the train to Wombwell on the Penistone line will be about 4 quid and so not that bad for you. Plus you can smoke openly in the gents with the others knowing stewards don't check in there

If attendance was in the region of 10k-11K then the ground was less than half full! As I sit on East Stand Lower could not see how many were on the upper shelf but elsewhere did not seem to be than much empty space! What is the official capacity?

I think we've been "misled" by today's crowd figure.....

I believe that there were more there than was announced. Anyone care to comment?
