Ours was poor considering they brought a fantastic following that added a lot to the atmosphere. But i guess if people can only afford one christmas match this one was never going to beat Wednesday.
Maybe people would like to know whats happening at Oakwell? I dont see Kevin Blackwell and the journeymen that will follow putting bums on seats.
Part timers annual day out is on saturday the fickle barnsley folk can't cope with 2 games in a week,no offence to those skint ill etc its the sort who will be giving it the big one saturday like they come every week but actually their first game since cardiff

I can only afford one game this christmas (what with living 150+ miles away) and today was that game, granted it was because my sis offered me a lift, but I think that would make you wrong?
And that my friends is why we wont attract a " Big Name Manager" to this club. This town and its people have got what it deserves, I have said it before and I will say it again you have to match your outgoings to your income if you dont get people through the door on a regular basis you cant plan for the future. I hate to say it, but the scum from Sheffield do get people through the gates even when they are doing bad so they can afford to take a gamble, we dont and we can't.
spot on just regarding attendances it wasnt long ago Barnsley was the 4oth most deprived place in Europe. Also, Ticket prices have risen in a short space of time. theylll be 15,000-16,000 Barnsley fans at the Wednesday game there were 25,000 fans at Cardiff 35,000 at Wembley filled Oakwell every game (18,000+) in the prem season (depending on away following) Weve got the potential to get alot higher attendances, but i dont think that will happen until the borough is re-developed (more jobs created), and the west stand is re-developed.
F**k you. You're only one vote less funny than me. Which is a) sad b) f**k you, I used to win this thing. By miles. c) Just. And that.
Absolute bullsh*t This is one of the largest towns in the country.
I was reading the list just yesterday.
Fair enough we have local neighbours (cities) that can pull in larger crowds at the moment. Remember pre-strike?
We had the biggest of all the local sides inclusive of the north east ones as well.
We have a borough of over 250,000 people - some wednesdayites, leeds, unitedites, man utd bums but so does every town round here.
We can get 15,000-20,000 if we are succesful and I'm afraid thats the rubiks cube. Next years puzzle??
Keeping Hassel, Kay, and Atkinson.
I did already know about Atkinson before today like.

Plus I voted for you as.....
a) BBS Awards
b) Terry Nutkins
c) Dreamboy3000
d) I love Gaz.
